Loose leaves are picked up in the fall generally during the month of November along the curb according to the Leaf Collection Schedule 2023.
The THIRD week of the month will be the same as the FIRST week’s schedule.
The FOURTH week will be the same as the SECOND week’s schedule.
This is for leaf collection only.
Leaves to be picked up should be raked in a row in the street, running parallel along the curb line. Leaves must be raked away from mailboxes, poles, cars, and other obstructions. Twigs and branches must be kept out of the leaves as they clog the machine. If you use plastic bags to gather leaves, please empty the bags at the curb. Please do not place grass, debris, or other trash with your leaves.
If your leaves are not being collected, it may be because one of the above items are not being followed.
Due to the tendency of leaves clogging storm sewers, leaves are not to be placed at curbside prior to one week ahead of scheduled collection time. Leaves are not allowed in the street except during the pick up month. There will be no on-street parking from 4:00 pm the day before a scheduled collection day until 3:00 pm of the collection day.
If you wish to remove leaves prior to your scheduled collection day, or at any other time of the year, you may take your leaves to the Borough Compost facility. If leaves are bagged, all bags must be emptied at the compost facility. Please do not discard bags at the site.
